Friday Catch Up

Sorry for the lack of posts and social media, where have I been?

College has been super stressful at the moment with 4 assignment due in this week, 2 practical assessments and planning for Jeff coming tomorrow! I passed both my practicals but now I have the horrible wait for the marking of the coursework.

Blogging and social media has taken a massive backseat however I did start a few posts but never got to finish them so I'll stock up as many as I can whilst I am on half-term and my helpful boyfriend is here and can take lots of photos!

Some of the posts you can look forward to are: FOTD's, OOTD's, Makeup Revolution Haul, NYX and Sephora Wishlists, and much more!

Thank you for still supporting me and don't forget to enter my Makeup Revolution giveaway here!

Blogging is easy, right?

Blogging to the outside world of non-bloggers/ non blog readers can appear quite easy, but really we all know it isn't. FarFetch produced this infographic - which has gone a bit blurry because of my resizer sorry! - and it really made me think! I had a bit of a pooey start this week and felt like I was an awful blogger but after reading this it's made me feel a bit better! 60% use a smartphone camera like I do, over half post on a weekly basis (I always feel bad if I don't post around 3 times a week) and then there's helpful tips as well about how to boost your blog!
If you are a new blogger, a blogger in a block or just a blogger after a bit of help, this advice would be great for you! Definitely worth a read, plus FarFetch have some amazing stuff on there (bit pricey but if I had the money the lingerie is to die for!) Don't forget to enter my Makeup Revolution giveaway here!

Review | DermaV10 Blogger Box*

Budget skincare and makeup? Yes please! I am student on a budget and Poundland is my second home. I love how you can pick up good quality products for only £1! Every bargain product that I find will eventually be tested and seen if it is up to scratch!

DermaV10 Blogger Box
I was very kindly sent a Blogger Box from DermaV10 - it was a cute brown paper package tied up with string - who's motto is 'Love Yourself For Less', which is true. All of the products I was sent are available on the UK high street for £1. Home Bargians, Bodycare, Poundland, Savers, Tesco and B&M Bargains are all stockists of DermaV10 products, so I'm 100% sure you can find some of these beauties near you!

Now onto the products I received. The first thing I tried was the Deep Cleansing Nose Strips. I've been thinking about trying these for a while as my nose is horribly blocked with black heads.. however avoiding my ickiness I found these really helpful! Applying on wet skin, leave on for about 15 minutes and remove. The strip had removed more than I was expecting and now it is part of my Sunday skincare!
DermaV10 Blogger Box
I can't comment on the creams yet as I haven't dared tried anything new while my skin was recovering from a bad reaction to Crazy Angels Spray Tan however I will post a review on these too once they've been tried and tested. They both smell good and I personally think they are so low budget is because of the packaging - it is a very thin bendy plastic which isn't a problem but a good idea!
DermaV10 Blogger Box
Hair and beauty next! Mascara and eyeliner duo - perfect for on the run with these lightweight products. The eyeliner is a mini but it is 'enclosed free' so we will let it off! I use the mascara every day that I know I won't have my makeup on long, such as college days where my makeup will be removed after lunch for practical. This is because it is a good quality mascara and I'm not scared of wasting expensive products. I never notice the difference between DermaV10 mascara and my No7 mascaras so I would definitely save myself £7-8!
DermaV10 Mascara and Eyeliner
Hair chalk is a new one to me! For a girl who always changes the colour of hair to suit her mood (definitely regretting all the damage though!) this will be amazing for when I go brunette just in time for Christmas. I can add hints of colour to my hair which has no prolonged effect or damage :D halloween would be perfect to add some spice to your hair ready to look wicked!
DermaV10 Hair Chalk
Over all I would say these budget buys are definitely ones to try for yourselves! Pop into your local bargain shop and have a look around for these £1 wonders!
Don't forget to look at their Twitter, Facebook or website for more information about their range of goodies!

Favourites | September

I know this is very late, I do apologise! Just my lighting has been absolutely awful at the moment and I really need to get a camera rather than just my iPhone! Honestly, when Jeff comes his camera will be taking as many photos as I can think of!
September Favourites

L'Occitane Precious Cream
L'Occitane are my luxury brand. I love the stuff but it's a little bit costly for day-to-day use. I received this mini in a Glossybox months ago (I don't even subscribe anymore). My skin is crying out after having lots of facials and tanning, it just makes me breakout and go dry at the same time. Precious Cream is a thick, creamy, moisturising cream - it feels like velvet on your face. I use it instead of a night cream if my face needs it, and it feels great in a couple of days.
MAC Hearts Aflame MUA Shade 11
A high end and a drugstore lipstick this month made it! Hearts Aflame was a MAC LE that I reviewed in full here. It is a matte brick red and it's such a pretty Autumn colour that is really suited to darker, cooler days. MUA shade 11 is a pinky nude that I can quickly put on before I go out as it's a 'my lips but better' colour, it goes with all eye looks and is amazing for when you're in a hurry! £1 bargain!
W7 ShowStopper Mascara
W7 Show Stopper Mascara this was a treat from Dad after we had a fight, it was a really cheap deal off of Groupon but it is the thought that counts as he thought of me when he saw it. W7 are a really cheap brand that seem to be catching up with becoming a good drugstore brand.. although saying that I struggle to find it anywhere really! This mascara gives volume and length and is a good competitor with Maybelline Rocket Volume in terms of effect on the lashes..

Aussie Miracle Recharge Moisture Spray is one of the best leave in conditioner I have ever used. I spray it in wet hair, before my heat protector and then blow dry it in. If my hair still feels really dry then I'll give it another quick spritz into my hair then rub into my hair.

Haul | Primark

I was a bit naughty when I went to Oxford to drop my brother off at Uni last Sunday and spent a bit in Primark. I really love everything they are bringing in at the moment and I really can't stop spending in there. The clothes always fit my perfectly (minus the skinny jeans) and I'd much rather have lots of Primark clothes than a couple of designer pieces.

The new Disney and other branded ranges that around are so cute! I had to pick up a few as I really couldn't decide what to get. Firstly I bought a Disney Villains top, this top covers I think most if not all villains and Maleficent  on the front drew me in!
Primark Disney Villains Tee
Bambi! One of my favourite films, and I think this top is super appropriate for Christmas time! It's so cute and the glitter on the mountains makes it that little bit more special. I couldn't really get it to show in the photos. I hate this weather, the photos and lighting are awful!
Primark Bambi Tee
My mum got me into Harry Potter as soon as it was released, she read all the books and I know that she wanted me to read them, I finished the first one but then I got distracted, the problems of an 8 year old. I've watched all the films about 10 times and I'm desperate to find the time to read the books as I think they'll be better than the films (if that's possible) so for now, I got a Hogwarts tee as I didn't want to allocate myself to a house!
Primark Hogwarts Tee
Final Disney Shirt! I bought this Tinkerbelle t-shirt as I love Tink so much! She was my favourite sassy girl when I was younger and I'm sure I wanted to be her when I grew up! If you don't like Tinkerbelle then I don't know you... ;) All of these tees cost £6 and are a size 10 (they come up rather big so I suggest going down a size!).
Primark Tinkerbelle Tee
In the sale section, I managed to pick up this Nirvana drop sleeve crop. I love a good drop sleeve and this one is really big - I don't know I just like the whole side boob/bra showing style. It was £3 and I wish I had stuck to my original plan and picked up the size 10 but I went for the 12 in case it was too small. It fits okay and comfy but a bit smaller could have been better. I've put it away for next summer and can't wait to wear it with something high waisted!
Primark Nirvana Crop Top
The last thing I picked up was these 2 pairs of shoes. I already own the chain pair in cream but after seeing almost all the girls on my course own these in black I picked them up (£8)! I have to wear black flats for college everyday so these look really nice, on trend and comfy! The purple I have bought as a pair to leave in the car when driving. I struggle to drive in Dr Martens and sometimes even Vans so for £4 I thought these would be cute and comfy but small enough to leave in the footwell of the passenger side!

The brand of all things bright, bold and beautiful. All the beauty gurus love Lime Crime, whether it is the bright colours or more 'normal' shades. I love everything that Lime Crime sells, it's just a shame that the colours can be a bit hard to get in the UK! How I wish I lived in the US sometimes! All the links are UK sites though so I'm pretty pleased with that! Sorry that 2 are more expensive from Amazon but I couldn't find them in stock anywhere else!

Bath Time with The Body Shop

Anyone else love matching scents? I feel so proud of myself if I match my scents at bathtime! I enjoy baths, but sometimes you just don't have the time. I find The Body Shop's Shower Gels really great for versatility. I can use it the bath for long lasting bubbles or I can use it in the shower for a lovely refreshing wash. This has lasted me for 3 weeks now and there is still a good amount left!

The Body Shop's Body Sorbet range was released just before the Summer stared. They are cool and refreshing and I found it amazing when it was hot and I needed a quick cool down! As with all Body Shop ranges, different scents still have the same great quality. My mum has Pink Grapefruit, which even though I hate the smell, it still has the same great properties.

After bathing or showering with Mango Shower Gel, I love to follow with the Mango Body Sorbet. I recently also purchased the Mango Body Scrub which I use once or twice a week to remove the dead skin cells and make me feel silky smooth!

All available in The Body Shop stores and The Body Shop online. Look out for special deals on The Body Shop as sometimes you can save up to 40% across the whole store!

There are a lot more that I want but these are definitely the top 4!
