Review | Pretty Little Things Tie Dye Jeans

I've been on a bit of a clothes collecting mission, out with the old (mainly stuff that is way too big now and my mum has or I've sold) and in with the new. Pretty Little Things is a brand I've been lusting over after watching many InTheFrow videos and she seems to love and actually has these jeans in the pink.

I choose the darkest colour, Indigo, as I'm not outgoing enough to wear those pretty bright pastel colours but I'm seriously tempted by them as I love these jeans! They are very tight fitting even round the ankles which is always hard to find so I suggest if you aren't sure which size to get, order the larger. Although with the free returns label inside it doesn't matter too much if you order both sizes and return one (which I did, with a 10 and a 12). I wear a 32 inch leg and these are the right length for me.

There is no belt loops if you want to match these with a belt but you really don't need one as they stay in place perfectly as the pockets are on the back so this stops them falling down with weight on the front. I can't wait to see how these wash and I think they are my new favourite addition to my wardrobe :D

Buy here, a 10/10 from me!

Book Review | The Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes

First book review! Well since I left primary school anyway haha! This book has been sat by bed since Christmas when I first started reading it on my plane ride to see my boyfriend for New Year, it shouldn't have taken this long to read but I have been so distracted with other things and infact reading another book - About A Girl by Lindsey Kelk which my mum had on loan from the library so it had to jump the queue and be read first - that now is the first time except plane rides I've been able to sit down and read it!

It is a dark book about a serial killer that shouldn't exist.. creepy huh? I won't go any further into the unusual main character as I don't want to ruin it for you but if you get lost easily in books this isn't one for you as it jumps around time every chapter by many years so you'll get even more lost. Kirby, the only surviving victim of the murderer (or attempted murderer in her case) has decided that she as an intern for the newspaper will do the job that the police didn't manage to do; solve her case.

Every victim is met by the killer years before he murders them and takes an item which he will then leave on the bodies of other victims, making it very confusing to solve... however does Kirby manage to find the murderer or not? Read and find out the secrets of how he could exist after all! Really worth the £3.85, buy here!

Reviving damaged and dry hair

I have bleached my hair twice recently in a short space of time (I know bad me) but I really wanted to lighten it. It has left me with bleach damaged hair, so I was then left with the job of repairing it. I recommend getting your hair cut after a bleaching rather than before - unless it is a big cut and it would be silly to fast time and money bleaching hair that will be cut off - this is to repair the most damaged tips and split ends. I have my appointment booked for when my hairdresser is next free!

I have not gone for a high end brand but a highstreet product. Aussie shampoo is one of the middle/ high end drugstore brands that are known best for their 3 Minute Miracle Deep Condition Treatment. I am using 3 of their products to save my damaged hair and it is definitely working!

I use the Miracle Moist range as this will be best to make my damaged hair all happy again! Firstly the shampoo, it smells really sweet and applies well. I follow with the conditioner which I leave on for 2 minutes, this is what I do every wash. After bleaching I've noticed my hair doesn't need washing as much because I stripped all the natural oils away plus it is better for my hair not to wash it and dry as much as you would with normal hair.

Every other wash I use the 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor, I apply this all over my hair, concentrated on the roots and places where I applied the most bleached. I leave this on for 5 minutes to give it that bit more nutrition because I really want to save my hair.

Now after only 3 washes I have noticed a big difference to how it was after bleaching it, thank you Aussie! Toodle pip till next time! xxx

eBay Wishlist #01

This morning I woke up early today and where else to spend the time but window shopping on eBay!

Fräulein 3º8 Professional Makeup Brushes Set Pink Swan Case - £12.96

I have read a few reviews of these brushes and from what I can tell they are worth the small price tag! They may not be the best brushes in the world, but I'm really on a budget currently as I'm spending 4 weeks on holiday in the summer so I need all I can save! They are pretty in pink and have their own carry case - what more could a girl want?

Pro Tinkle Eyebrow Razor Comb - £1.49

I struggle with my eyebrows, they grow so fast... I can have a wax from a salon and in less than a week there are so obvious again! It's not fair! So I've been looking into eyebrow razor as I feel like this would be a better approach than waxing each day and aren't these adorable! These have a safety feature to stop it cutting too harshly which will be very nice for smooth uncut skin!

Head Jog Back Combing Brush - £2.19

I like big volume hair! And after just buying some one piece hair extensions I want to be add volume to hide the clips. I use a volume spray but I want some extra help!

Really wish I had a few more pennies. Toodle pip till next time! xxx

May Empties

I know I haven't done one of these for a while but I just didn't seem to use up any products! This month though, I've been getting through things a lot faster than usual, probably because I've been at home a lot more!

Original Source Vanilla and Raspberry Moisturising Handwash

I picked this up for a £1 in supermarket a while ago when Original Source were on offer everywhere I went and I couldn't resist anymore! If you're interested selected Original Source products are only £1 in Boots right now! I have had the shower that smells identical in the past and it smells just like Raspberry Ice Cream. Due to me working as a kitchen porter I can get very dry hands so a moisturising wash is what I need to help prevent any further water damage and I have never noticed this doing more damage unlike the standard hand-washes - my family couldn't get enough!

The Little Bubble Company Strawberry Sundae Bath & Shower Gel

I have developed a love for The Little Bubble Company - see my original post here - and last week I finished my first bottle. Yes in the photo it's not quite finished but I can never get that last bit out and I wasn't strong enough to unscrew the top to add water to get it out! Currently on offer for £1.99 in Waitrose. It doesn't affect my dry or sensitive skin as it is paraben free and full of lots of other nice stuff!

Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator

I have mentioned this product so many times before, especially in my skincare routine (see the second product I use) and I use this every day, twice a day. I love it and it lasts a very long time, at the start of May I was worried it would run out as it was feeling light but I pushed it out to last till 20th! It is so gentle and perfect for cleansing and removing dead skin and emptying clogged pores without removing or hurting that healthy skin! I also love that even though it is a standard size bottle it is still below 100ml so perfect for travelling as it isn't too heavy either!

That was all! Toodle pip till next time! xxx

Favourites | May 2014

I have been experimenting this last week of May and have found many products to love but as I have only had them 1 week, they'll have to wait till June favourites.

Collection Smokey Eye Palette

I fell in love with this palette since trying out new eye looks compared to my original and fail safe all black eye. I have started to use the brown shades mixed with the sliver and creating a smokey eye with the silver and black and using the white as a highlight. I'm yet to find a look with the pink shades but I'm desperate to make this my most versatile drug store palette due to it's size and pigment staying power is good considering the price. They have changed the packaging now but this is the equvialent and contains most of the same colours, I still definitely recommend!

Seche Vite Nail Polish in Rouge

I received this in a GlossyBox many moons ago and never really got round to using it. However for the last 3 weeks I can't get enough! It's a deep vampire red in my opinion, which I really love! It's goes perfectly with a smokey eye and red lips. It's quite a runny solution so I suggest a steady concentrated hand and due to the colour it stains so definitely a base coat required! The photos don't do it justice but it is darker than this!

No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara

This started out as a product I was desperate to use up as I have two tubes of it and I've had a while! I was obsessed with this as soon as I heard Zoella say it was her favourite mascara (this was about 2 years ago) and got through them like no tomorrow. It's still good enough to use as I think I only brought this in October 2013 and never broke the seal. They give a lovely curl whilst lengthening and it works really well even if you're like me and end up with left over mascara on your lashes no matter how much you cleanse as it still does it job. The writing on the packaging however has well and truly rubbed off though!
However I just went on the Boots website to link you all, and it's been discontinued... sorry guys :(

Collection Gothic Glam Lipstick in #01 Seduction

I brought this lipstick when it was released in October and I loved it then, however it got put into the back of the pile not to be seen again, till I was looking for just the right colour to go with my makeup and then my affair with Collection restarted, I'm sorry Rimmel. It is from the gothic collection but this shade is just a nice deep pinkish red so you don't have to be scared of looking goth-y i you don't want to.

Glossybox May 2014

Sorry this is late! My birthday last week got me a bit behind on blogging!

This is the last Glossybox of 2014 for me as it’s too little too late for me in regards of Glossybox as this box is quite good but I believe it’s only because of the collaboration with Superdrug and the following boxes will be just as poor as the previous.

To celebrate 50 years of Superdrug, they have collaborated with Glossybox to bring you 4 full size products and 2 special bonus samples. This box is really good for your money so I would suggest buying a one off box and get your hands on this as for £10 plus £2.95 p&p it really is worth your pennies!

B. Complete Long-lasting Nail Polish £4.99

I received this in the colour () which I’m very happy to receive as I love dark colour polishes. I have never tried any of the B. Cosmetics except the Micellear Water which I use on days when I wear heavy eye makeup so this will be nice to use. It is a full size product being 8ml.

Maybelline New York Great Lash Mascara (Very Black) £4.99

I remember my mum using this when I was a lot younger but I never used it myself. I’m willing to give it a go but from what I remember it won’t be as great as many other drugstore mascaras however for the price it might be okay!

Scholl Velvet Smooth Overnight Mask £7.99

Another full size product! This is one I am very glad to receive. As England has just hit a warm sunny spell for once I need to have sandal ready feet! As I walk round without socks on for most of the year my feet have to be hardened up to give themselves protection but I still like having them soft. You leave the cream on over night and it’s meant to give you lovely soft feet. I have used this and yes it's amazing!

I Love Cosmetics Strawberries & Milkshake Shimmer & Shine Lip Gloss £1.29

This is the product I hate and I really don’t know what Glossybox were thinking. It’s a cheap tacky lipgloss that it designed for children who are in that lipgloss stage! I won’t be using this and I don’t know anyone that will want it, one for the bin sadly!

blowpro After Blow Strong Hold Finishing Spray

I haven’t yet to try this product but it seems like a hair spray designed to be used after blow drying as it conditions your hair as it sets. I’m not sure if this will be one for me as I find most products of this type make my hair feel greasy and like it needs a wash straight away just after spraying.

Samples

In my Glossybox I also received a GHOST Eclipse fragrance sample and a sample sachet of Garnier Body Oil Beauty Nourishing Lotion. The fragrance smells really nice and fruity yet floral. I really think this will be on my list of perfumes to maybe look into getting once my others run out - damn you perfumes for being so expensive!! I have yet to try the lotion sample as it's a one use only sachet but I'm hoping it will be good as I suffer from dry skin and this is designed for dry skin.

This has turned out to be my last Beauty Box subscription for the year as I need to save money for a car :(
