The Little Bubble Co. Bath & Shower Gel Review

I am a love for strongly scented interesting bath & shower gels, and I'm so glad I cam across The Little Bubble Co. I was shopping in Waitrose with my mum and I saw them on the shelf. Just after lots of mens black deodorant cans there they were - nice bright colours. Of course I had to give them a sniff, I fell in love!

I didn't want to buy lots and then be allergic (as I can sometimes have very temperamental skin!) so I bought Vanilla Biscuit as it smelled much nicer than other vanilla scented bath/shower gels which tend to  be very artificial, however this does actually smell like biscuits... mmm yum.

The following week, they then ended up being on offer and I got 2 more! Strawberry Sorbet and Mango Delight - these are fresher scents than Vanilla Biscuit yet just as yummy!

They work both well in baths and showers and lather up well. I used it to shave and it is smooth enough for even a cheap disposable razor! These multi-use gels are brilliant and very affordable!

Wednesday Wishlist #10

Can't believe it's my 10th Wishlist! And I'm still going to carry on wishing, a girl's gotta have dreams! With Forever 21 opening in Amsterdam this weekend (19th April) and be flying out on Kings Day (26th April) - this week's wishlist will all be from Forever 21! There are stores in the UK in London, Manchester, Bluewater (Kent), Birmingham, Glasgow, Lakeside (West Thurrock) and Liverpool.

The main things I am looking for at the moment is tops, I am dramatically short of tops that fit me!

1) Captain America Muscle Top - £10.50

I love muscle tops especially ones that are dropped sleeves so this definitely a top for me! I find this style of shirt so comfy and so wearable as it's airy but you can protect your modesty with a simple bandeau or bralette! For £10.50 it could be classed as a little bit more expensive than it should be but obviously the Captain America makes it more money!

2) Bored Floral Crop Top - £8.75

I am a lover of crop tops in Summer, and if you haven't picked up on my style, I like the grunge/punk look and this top is perfect! It has oversized armholes similarly to the Captain America Top, which is one of my favourite styles and I can't wait till it's warm enough to show off them armpits!

3) Double Chain Cross Bracelet - £4.90

I wear many bracelets - and I can never resist buying more! This is nice and statement like, it would definitely attract attention and be good for day or night! Love Love Love!!

I really can't wait to visit the new store!

Superdrug (Drugstore) Haul

So I went for another Superdrug visit last week (please don't judge me!) and I couldn't help pick up a few bits and pieces that I have been holding off buying for a while now.

After buying the Wave Creating Spray when I last went into my local store, I couldn't help picking another item whilst the Studio Line from L'Oreal is still half price. I picked up the "Hot & Smooth" Hot Straight Spray for £1.80 - so cheap for a product that will obviously last a long time! It is a lightweight spray that you apply before activating with heat (apply into damp hair) and it says that it will keep your hair straight for up to 3 days. I've used this 3 times now and it definitely lasts 2 and saves me much time in the morning as my whole head doesn't need straightening again. It also contains frizz protection - this I haven't noticed as much as the straight hair retainer, but since my hair is normally one big ball of frizz at the roots, it does seem better just not perfect.

Now, I finally felt like as a makeup lover I needed to get myself a sheer finish foundation. I mainly use semi-matte/almost matte finishes and I have been struggling with looking more and more tired because my face just doesn't look awake, and I don't feel it either! Soooo.... Wake Me Up from Rimmel London finally came into my possession! I like having things in sets, and if I can, I get ranges that I like. So I chose the foundation in the shade Ivory 100 (£8.99) and the concealer in shade Ivory 010 (£5.49). Confuses me that they use 2 different numbers for the same shade but who knows!

It is an anti-fatigue effect foundation (swatch bottom) with light radiating particles which help brighten and smooth the face. The concealer (swatch top) is brilliant for covering dark circles and lightening the under eye as well as covering blemishes. However, for larger, more raised spots (you know those mini mountains that can appear) it's not so good and almost emphasises the spot.

I wouldn't recommend this if you struggle with oily skin, so far the only primer I have used with it is Baby Skin, and yet to try on bare skin.

And the final product I bought myself was a new Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Cool Medium 2 for £4.19. This is a new part of the release from Collection, with the re-release of the Lasting Perfection Range at the start of the year. You now have the choice of cool or warm tones which spreads the usage of the concealer to more people but it did take me a few swatches to decide which I would buy, I think as soon as I tan, (if that ever happens!) I will need Warm Medium 2 because it was borderline!

It was a bit of a bigger spend thn I should have done, but I felt like some retail therapy after hearing that my Great Uncle who I was close to sadly passed away in the night. It was expected, but obviously still saddening but I'm okay and able to attend the funeral next week to say goodbye which is nice.

Changing my blog design again.... :(

Hiya Angels, this will be a different kind of a post today and it's not going to be great :(

As you all know, I recently spent a lot of time redesigning my blog and getting a header made professionally and editing a lot of HTML coding myself (thank goodness I did Computing AS Level) but now I will have to change again sadly.

I am followed my blog that I followed back who has used exactly the same design as me and used the navigation bar choices I set up, I find it very unfortunate that from a blogger's perspective everything should be original and imaginative that someone would change their blog design to the same as mine (which took me 2 weeks to find in a dark corner of the internet from a Dutch site) that they would announce and use the same personalisation of the blog that I changed from the original design.

I won't name and shame this person but if you read this you know who you are, and I'm disappointed and have unfollowed you because it makes me wonder what other content is not your own. I will now be looking for a new blog design that hopefully will still match my header that I brought professionally. I don't mind having the same blog design when it is from Blogger itself as many new and upcoming bloggers have to use these as they don't understand how all the technical side of it, I kept all the copyright from the person I downloaded my blog design from so it was all still legal as it was a free design, and then someone sees this and then takes advantage and uses it themselves.

I know this can happen getting the same design as someone else as it is free and anyone can Google search "free Blogger templates" but mine was from a Dutch site I knew off from being in Holland and using many dutch sites for my day to day activities and was not from a Google search and I have looked and it doesn't come up from at least page 10 of the search "free black and white blogger templates" or anything similar.

I'm very upset by this and will be changing my theme again soon, sorry for messing you all around.

OOTD: Family Meal with my Cousins!

I have a bit of hair issue at the moment, no matter how much bleach I use I can't get my hair to go any lighter.. I tried again yesterday with L'Oreal Platinum Blonde Extreme Ombre and it's lightened it away from the ginger but still isn't as blonde as I could hope for! I'll continue with silver shampoo to see if it'll change!

I had just finished applying my bleach when my cousin arrived and we had a long catch-up whilst waiting for the bleach to do its thing! After washing that all out and making my bath purple..fortunately we got it off :)

I needed to get dressed in about 10 minutes - I applied most of my makeup before rinsing out my hair (multi-tasking=time saving). I knew that even though it was just a lunch, I needed to dress it up a bit more than I would normally for say McDonalds as my grandparents were there and I don't see my cousins more than 4 times a year..

It was around 13 degrees C so I went for the beloved Black Topshop Leigh Jeans that I love to pieces even though I have grown since November and could do with another leg length size up! They are the only jeans that I can find that will fit nicely round my thighs and bum as well as my ankles!

I also went with a cropped lace top that is also from Topshop that I got in the sale this winter that I use as much as I can! It is a rather tight fit due to he lace not being that stretchy but it's fine once it's on and you can still breathe easily!

Sorry about the messy floor in the photo, I was struggling to get ready in such short time! I paired this up with my Matte Black Doc Martens and a leather jacket for travelling as it wasn't that warm!

Simple, sophisticated but still looks nice!

Superdrug Haul

I went to Superdrug last Friday whilst doing the groceries and I should have known this would be a bad idea and my purse would cry afterwards..

I went in with the mind to get myself the MUA (Makeup Academy)  Undress Your Skin Highlighter, which is a £3 product, but somehow I managed to spend a total of £12.86 which could have been worse but with only £15 cash in my purse, it was quite a bit of money to spend! Thankfully I was putting the groceries on mum's credit card!
I have been waiting to try more from one of the latest drug store brands to break into the blogosphere and make it's impact on the beauty market. I will do a blog about my collection once I get a few more products to make it worthwhile!

I went straight to the MUA stand after bumping into my Grandma by the Rimmel stand and helped her find a new powder for herself - she went for the Rimmel Match Perfection in Ivory 100 if you were wondering!! I was so glad I didn't wait too much longer before going into Superdrug as I got the last highlighter on the self! The Undress Your Skin Highlighter is a pink tinted pressed powder great for the Spring to Summer transition and for the Summer as well as it helps add to glow of your skin whilst not taking any colour away from your skin (like a white highlighter would).

I have used it as well as blusher and bronzer because it works as a different product, however I do try to avoid using a blusher with shimmer in or I may look far too shimmery!!! I can't complain about this highlighter, it doesn't have any flaws and with such a small price tag - why not?

Whilst browsing the stands to see if any other deals were worth a little bit more out my purse, my eyes were drawn towards eyeliner. I'm sure I have some sort of problem when it comes to eyeliner as I can't seem to stop buying it when I don't really need another kohl pencil but I obviously do as this one is different! Just keep telling yourself that Mary-Ann... I picked up the Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil in Jet Black and I'm glad I did indeed. For £1, you get a pencil liner with sharpener in the lid which is good for minimalising space (just not great for aeroplane hand luggage as I think it is considered a sharp). The quality of the pencil seems to be quite good for testing so far, it has quite dark colouring and has a staying power of around 5 hours. This for a cheap drugstore eyeliner seems pretty reasonable!

I also mentioned in my ELF Haul post that I recently got a BB cream, this was the Rimmel London BB Cream in Light. I got a sample of BB Matte Cream inside of my Company magazine and it really didn't work for me, the finish was too matte and the finish didn't look great on my not so perfect skin. I still like the colouring and the idea of it though so I walked round the Rimmel stand and picked up a tube. At £6.99 it isn't the most expensive nor the cheapest BB cream I've seen but I think for the use you have for it, it's worth it.

It's gives a finish that I'm finding hard to describe, it's just a standard BB cream finish from what I can tell. It's neither matte not sheer, but it does work well for the natural look just giving you enough coverage to get through the day!

Finally the last product I went back to pick up was L'Oreal Paris Studio Line #TXT Wave Creating Spray. My naturally hair is extremely curly and unmanageable if I let my hair air dry so with all the new Studio Line products at half price or better, I picked this up. For £1.80 I thought I would give the chance of waves that I can blow dry in, I have only tried this once, and I didn't follow all the instructions as I was short of time... however seeing my ponytail the next morning, I could really see how it would work if you used it properly as it gave me a nice wave in my hair that I don't normally see the morning after! One to buy for those who like waves!

Sadly for my bank account, I then went back to Superdrug this week to get some more goodies after I got some money off said Grandma so I treated myself, I will publish a haul post for that next week!

Wednesday Wishlist #09

Sorry there was not a wishlist last week, busy week trying to get ready for my new website! But here it is, all nice and shiny :D This is definitely more of a Summer wishlist and as I have finally paid off all my debt, I can save for these products and ones I have already blogged about, yay!!!

1) Lucie in Candy Pink Triangl Underwear - 55USD (around £36)

This underwear is all over the social networks, especially Tumblr. And of course, this means I have been drawn to it so much as I am a bit of a Tumblr addict, please go check out my blog! Most of my underwear has been black recently, fulfilling my teenage gothy emo-like years but now I am seeing the wonder of pretty underwear! And this is just amazing, it's pretty, female but still powerful. I love the colour but I was torn between this and the spearmint set but I've set my heart on this now! (Image Source Triangl International)

Buy here!

2) Viktor & Rolf BonBon Eau De Parfum 30ml - £50

Source Selfridges.com

Viktor & Rolf has been one of my fantasies for a long time, since I received a sample of the legendary Flowerbomb last year. It's a shame that the price is so high as I would really love Flowerbomb and BonBon both in my perfume collection but I guess I can't have everything! BonBon has been described as "a timeless sensation inviting a pure and absolute pursuit of pleasure. She who wears Bonbon, dresses herself in perfume while creating her own story. She is empowered, beautiful and complete. Caramel characterizes the scent's evolution. From inception to completion, the caramel notes mature from a sharp, edible top note to softer and milkier in the middle then darkening to add depth to the base note. A pure delight, a haute confection." To be honest, this sounds amazing, I love sweet scents although it may end up attracting the bees a little bit! Plus the bottle is really super cute!

3) Clinque Cheek Pop in Plum Pop - £16.50

Source: Pinterest
I've seen these blushers on pre-release and now official release all over the blogosphere and in the last issue of Boots Health & Beauty Magazine I read and now I'm desperate to try one. If I do it would be the most pigmented blusher I have ever owned. This terrifies me but at the same time it super excites me! The beautiful design of the blusher is perfect for summer with the flower shape and would look really pretty in my blusher drawer! Plum pop is a bright pink with silver iridescence running through it, definitely my kind of blusher!

I've just noticed how pink this all is, definitely my summer love coming through I think!

ELF Haul

Last week after my Dad was admitted to hospital I came home to see that ELF (Eyes Lips Face) had a 40% off offer when you spent over £15. This is a really good deal but not many people always see this due to having to spend £15 to begin with although if you only actually spend £9! So I had a little splurge to make myself feel better considering it was 9pm and I had been awake and at the hospital till 3am.

I have been looking for a tinted moisturiser for a while after buying a BB cream the other day for the first time (don't worry I'll be blogging about that mini haul very soon! I wanted a tinted moisturiser to see if there was much of a different plus at the moment with the very strange weather going hot, cold, wet, dry my skin is having a dilemma having mini breakouts and then dry patches - not fun. So my thinking was a tinted moisturiser would give me the coverage that I'm looking for when used with my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (see my post about the Lasting Perfection Range here).

I chose the Shade Porcelain of the Studio Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 which contains Aloe, Cucumber and Vitamins A, C & E. I'm a great fan of anything that has goodness in it rather than just makeup (I know makeup is goodness but you know what I mean!) It gives a light to medium coverage dependly on two things. One, how you apply with a makeup brush - I use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush - or with your fingers. I am yet to try it with a sponge as I rarely ever use them so much so I don't know where they are! And two, how much product you apply - I tend to use two small squeezes of the tube, one pea size about to cover the main of my face and then twice if I need to redo any parts or feel like I want some extra coverage in places. I unfortunately don't own a MAC foundation to compare this to but I am a Maybelline Ivory and basically Ivory in everything else as well.

I believe this will be good for Summer days as it contains SPF 20 to help protect your face and doesn't have the heavy feeling of a foundation with an SPF. I set this with whatever powder I come across, I haven't seem to notice if any particular works better than the others.

Secondly, I brought the ELF Studio Blush in Mellow Mauve. I have been using a very old blusher that I got from my mum and been praying to the make up fairies that I would find a dupe for it as I probably shouldn't be using it anymore but it still works and doesn't smell funny and I haven't had any problems with, I just don't think it would be that great anymore to use. And finally I found one! I was torn between the normal blushers and the baked blushers but as soon as I saw this colour I had to get it!

It contains a mirror which is very nice for on the go application or if you just want a more "zoomed in" view of your face for precise application. The pigmentation isn't that strong but on your cheeks it gives a simple light colour, it was a hard one to swatch and photo as it refused to show up as well as it could :( , and the simple matte black casing is very stylish. For my first ever purchases from ELF I think I am definitely loving it!

The next product I brought was ELF Studio Cream Eyeliner. I wear eyeliner, everyday, I never don't wear it as I believe it finishes off a look whether it be black or brown or any other colour eyeliner. The only problem is that eyeliner tends to smudge in the crease of my eyelid and then fades in around two hours, even if I use eye primer. I have been hearing that gel or cream eyeliners are the way to go and as I still hadn't used my angled brush from my Model's Own so I chose to get some! As you can tell I was more attracted to the Studio Range as I've heard this is the better ELF makeup range compared to the standard range. It comes with a brush incase you haven't got one but I find it too small for me to use as it's designed to fit in the packaging. I love how dark this product is as I'm bored of grey eyeliner instead of black, however I am experiencing some smudging onto my crease, yes it is not as much as others but it's not great! For a rating out of ten, I'd give a 7 though, especially for the price!

Gold eyeshadows, a current everyday look involves a bronze/gold smokey eye and I only currently have browns. I really like the look I can get with my browns but I wanted to make it lighter and more shimmery! So I ordered the ELF Studio Baked Eyeshadow in Enchanted, it's a nice shimmery gold colour - the pigmentation isn't amazing and takes lots of building but there is barely any fallout which is nice as it holds into my brushes well. This will be nice for all skin tones as I am quite pale and it still suits me and I think a tanned summer skin would look even better!

The final product I treated myself to is ELF Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Luminance. This was the only standard ELF product I brought because my current bronzer is ancient as doesn't seem to be apply any colour to my skin anymore :( However as I am pale, I have to be very careful with bronzers so I don't end up oompa-loompa style! Which Luminance is perfect for, I used it for the first time yesterday afternoon when I touched up my makeup and felt I looked a bit pale, I dusted over my face and neck and it actually gave me a healthy glow! I can't really say how it would be for contouring as I have tried it yet for contouring but as a general bronzer - it's very good!!

ELF have many offers very frequently that'll save you a certain percentage, free shipping or free gifts so I suggest joining their mailing list immediately if you haven't already! I would recommend all of these products for you to purchase, just make sure you have a good look at the colours before ordering as I was very wary of ordering the tinted moisturizer without swatching!

Hair Update!

When I published my Hair Story post earlier this year, I said that I was looking for something different to do! In the end I decided to Ombre my hair!

My hair was an extremely strange shade of red, purple and brown all mixed up so before I ombred my hair I needed to sort this out, I first used Clairol Nice'n Easy Permanent colour #R5RB Rich Medium Reddish Brown to try to even out my hair colour before bleaching. It isn't recommended to bleach after dying as it can dry out your hair and cause it extreme damage, however my hair was in pretty good condition as I really look after it after dying it so much so I felt pretty confident in doing this all in the same night.

I stupidly didn't take any pictures of the brown as it wasn't going to stay for more than an hour, so sorry about that one! But it did give really good coverage considering how fast I applied it as I wanted to eat my dinner after spending all day in Oxford collecting my brother for Uni! Yes I am the only numpty that stays up late dying her hair when she's been out all day!

Then came the bleaching, I really wanted to try Bleach London Dip Dye as I have been fantasizing about the colours they have to offer for months! I'm still tempted to go all out and bleach all my hair so I can have pastel hair forever but that's a different story.

So I brought the DIY Dip Dye Bleaching Kit and followed all the instructions, and I went ginger. Not blonde with brassy tones, it was full blown orange, that no toner could ever sort. I dealt with this bright orange for about 5 days. The kit itself is okay, but for an inexperienced bleaching that prefers using her hands than a tint brush I would definitely recommend using the second kit I used as the handy comb applicator is really useful! However if you have a friend or family member that's willing to help, I found nothing wrong with the Bleach London kit especially as even my length hair I still had some left! It was easy application which is a great bonus if you're tired, with lots of helpful tips inside the box and online! Check it out at Bleach London

I then went with my gut instinct that I wish I had followed and got the L'Oreal Preference Ombre Kit in 2. I used this to lighten it, my hair was that dark it probably needed a second go! The brush applicator is so easy to use and mixing the bleach in a developer bottle is also much better than tray that you're worried it will spill out of. This has lightened my hair but it still isn't blonde but it's definitely ombre. I like my hair how it is but I kinda wish it was platinum blonde at the ends so I could colour the ends with semi-permanents, if anyone has any tips please comment below or email me! I'm always one to change my hair around as I get bored very easily haha!

March Empties

This month there hasn't been that many empties, but I have also been a bit of idiot and thrown away some of my empty bottles and tubes without thinking but I can remember what they were and they were actually ones that I have ended up repurchasing.

Oral B 3D White Toothpaste

I have been using this toothpaste for a while now, this was the end of my second tube, and I have to say it is really good! It has whitened my teeth without the need for bleaching them. This of course saves money and saves you damaging your teeth. The only problem with it is that if you forget to brush your teeth one night then you will pay the damage for the next couple of days when your teeth won't look as white as they did before you forgot. I think it must be how they whiten your teeth or it could just be me wanting to see that I have paid the price for forgetting – who knows! I have already started the 3rd tube as you can see as this was one that I forgot to photograph!

Superdrug Revitalising Raspberry and Macadamia Nut Colour Protect Shampoo and Conditioner

Whoops! My mum threw out the shampoo bottle before I got to photograph as I had one more use of the conditioner after the shampoo finished. I did get the conditioner photo taken though! I have repurchased both of these as for the price and when you only have a matter of minutes to wash your hair and get out of the door then it really is more than worth it! I have an hour to get washed, dried, makeup done, breakfast and dressed and to be at work, this means I need a shampoo and conditioner that works but can also wash out quickly. These definitely do the job, my hair lasts at least 48 hours without needed another wash, sometimes 72 if I haven't done much with this shampoo so that's great! Plus there hasn't been any product build up and my hairdresser can't tell that I don’t use higher end hair products.

Liz Earle Exfoliator

I actually have technically got through two bottles this month because I was finishing up the pump and then used up the tube, the tubes don't last very long as they are the miniatures which have come in sets as extras that I buy, they are very good for travel though!

This is a constant of mine. I always use it, twice a day because my skin gets dry but this stops it flaking without causing more damage. As it is a gentle exfoliator it just cleanses the skin and removes the looser skin but it doesn't cause irritation so I'm not left with red raw skin. I would recommend this to anyone in the world! It works for all skin types. I already had another bottle ready to use!

I love… Raspberries and Blackberries Shower Gel and Bubble Bath

If you don't know about the 'I love…' range and you shop in Superdrug, Boots or Primark I don't know where you've been. It is a really cheap range that produces good quality bath products, that smell delicious! However when I was shopping in Waitrose the other day, I noticed a similar bottle from a different brand.. see my March Favourites post (coming soon) for more details, so I haven't repurchased this as I would like to try new products after using this for some time now.

And that's what I've finished up this month!
